Air transport growth overburdens security checkpoints, impacting travel times and increasing detection challenges. Luggage check requires the operator to handle simultaneously three-dimensional data and the luggage. This process can lead to decreased efficiency and increased processing time. This project leverages Extended Reality (XR) to enhance luggage inspection by merging real and virtual images. Using Spatial Augmented Reality, our prototype improves object localization and threat recognition while allowing hands-free operation. This approach aims to reduce checkpoint congestion and enhance air transport security.
